Making the Mayku Multiplier: Shipping starts June 2022

Hello makers,

Time for the latest news on the progress of the Mayku Multiplier pre-orders. We are almost there and we can’t wait to finally see the machines arrive with makers around the World in the coming weeks.

Next week we will receive a Golden Sample of the machine (not actually golden, just the final pre-production sample) which will be covenant to some detailed testing and analysis. Once the shiny golden sample has been signed off by the team, we’re ready to start manufacturing the first 30 units!

Certifications are in the final stages, ensuring that everything is up to code for the regions we’re servicing right now, they are almost complete. We hope to add new regions in the near future, but right now we’re delighted that things are moving at a good pace.

We’ve also finalised the design and packaging for the Multiplier Starter Kit sample template. This has been manufactured using SLS 3D printing and allows you to scope out the full potential of the machine in one quick form. You can expect to receive this package separately to your machine delivery.

With all this good news, we’re pleased to say that currently, there are no predicted delays to the schedule shared previously. We expect the first 30 (Batch 1) to arrive in their new homes by early July, with Batch 2 scheduled for Mid-September and Batch 3 by Mid-October. Fingers crossed, there'll be no more pandemic, shipping or supply chain shortages to delay us further.

And now for a bit of fun, a little Multiplier experiment we've been using during User Testing in our London studio. This machine can pick up so much detail, that you can write your name on a piece of paper with a marker and the Multiplier will capture the paper texture and the words, perfectly.
